This week's lineup includes a burger that might permanently change your burger expectations, and a sandwich that's going to ruin all other sandwiches for you — no pressure. We're squeezing every drop out of the mid summer glory and grilling or making quick cooks so that you barely even turn your oven on. As always, everything here has been made, tested, and re-tested in our own kitchen so that we can make sure it actually works on a real weeknight — swaps, shortcuts, and all the notes included.
DINNER #1: Bahn Mi Burgers | Total Time: 35 minutes | Serves: 4 | Freezer Friendly
This bahn mi burger is perfectly described. It is like a bahn mi sandwich in burger form and it’s such a fun twist. If your burger rotation is feeling tired, this is the shake-up you didn’t know you needed.
Notes:
Swap: We’ve made this with ground turkey and it’s not quite as rich, but still really good, especially if you like something a little lighter than pork!
Toppings: We love sriracha mayo on this and then any toppings you might like on a bahn mi. Pickled onions or veggies, cucumber, spring mix, jalapeno, cilantro, you name it!
